Features of PUBG Mobile Lite

Smaller Map Size

PUBG Mobile Lite’s map size is 2km x 2km, which is much smaller than the PUBG Mobile’s map, which is 8km x 8km(Erangel & Miramar). One of the main benefits of a small map is that it presents more challenges and shorter match durations. Consequently, you will enjoy it more, as lengthy matches can become tedious.

Graphics & Performance

It is built using Unreal Engine 4 but is optimized for lower-end devices. So don’t worry about its performance now. The main reason behind its launch is to provide a battle royale experience to the lower-end device users.
However, it has fewer graphic options as compared to the full version, but it does not mean that the graphics are not good. You can choose from smooth to HDR according to your device’s capabilities.

3 Modes

The game offers players three modes: Solo, Duo, and Squad. You can choose any of these modes, if your friends are offline, you can play Solo mode. The main advantage of flexibility in mode selection is that it allows players to tailor their gaming experience according to their mood and style.

Ranking system

In PUBG Mobile Lite, there is also a ranking system. There are 8 total ranks in PM Lite: lowest rank: Bronze, highest rank: Conqueror. If we count all of them, there are a total of 32 ranks: five in each tier, from Bronze to Diamond, then Ace and Conqueror. Each season, your rank is determined based on your performance in the previous season.

Smaller Size

The size of the main version of PUBG Mobile is around 2 GB, whereas PUBG Lite is an application of only 700 MB.

Low-End Devices Compatibility

As I told you, PUBG Lite takes up much less space than the original version. That’s why you can play it even on low-end devices; it will neither lag nor face performance issues, and it is Ideal for devices with low GB RAM and low Storage Space.

Gameplay and Modes

The basic gameplay of PUBG Mobile Lite follows the standard battle royale format. 60-65 players skydive on a large map, land on any place they love, and survive till the last with the help of finding weapons, vehicles, and other supplies.

The playable area (blue zone) keeps shrinking as the match progresses, forcing players into close-quarters combat. The last player or team standing at the end wins the coveted “Chicken Dinner”.

PUBG Mobile Lite offers players a variety of gameplay modes to suit different styles and match durations. However, to cope with low game size, it has less number of modes as compared to PUBG Mobile.

Classic Mode

This is the staple battle royale mode where 100 players fight to be the last survivor on the battleground. It offers-

  • Solo
  • Duo
  • Squad

options, so whether you want to play with your friends or play alone, it has covered your back.

Arcade Mode

For faster-paced matches, you can try out intense TDM, Payload, or sniper training battles in Arcade mode. These 20-minute matches are action-packed and ideal for practising your skills.

EvoGround

Exclusive to PUBG Mobile Lite, EvoGround offers unique gameplay formats like the Payload mode with helicopters and respawns. There are also classic modes with a twist, like the Bluehole mode, where the safe zone keeps shrinking.

Events

There are new modes added in PUBG Mobile Lite time to time, specially at some special occasions and collaborations. So you can participate in special themed events with exclusive maps, skins, and gameplay dynamics.

Maps

PUBG Mobile Lite has two large maps – Varenga & Golden Woods. While not as expansive as PUBG Mobile’s maps, these smaller maps are optimized for the Lite version’s 60-player matches. Let’s look at both maps in detail:

Varenga

This lush green tropical island is PUBG Mobile Lite’s signature battle royale map. Spanning 4×4 kilometres, Varenga offers diverse terrains like dense forests, hilly ridges, and abandoned towns. Key areas include the Paradise Resort and Pilot Plaza in the west, the Port in the south with cargo containers and warehouses, and the Lumber Yard in the southeast.

Golden Woods

Set in a quaint countryside, Golden Woods is a 2×2 kilometres map exclusive to PUBG Mobile Lite. It features farms, fields, rivers, and channels surrounded by trees and hills. The map is divided into three sections with landmarks like the Windy Woods and Soaring Town – great places to land and hunt for loot.

Each map requires adjusting gameplay strategies according to the terrain.
